Motorola: Motorola may launch first 200MP camera smartphone next year – Times of India

On the other hand, in 2023, we will get to see a Samsung smartphone with a 200MP camera.
According to known tipster Ice Universe, Motorola will bring the first smartphone with a 200MP camera. The company will be followed by Xiaomi, which is expected to launch a 200MP camera smartphone in the second half of 2022. However, none of the smartphone makers have yet provided any details about the smartphone launch.
Samsung ISOCELL HP1 is the industry’s first 200MP image sensor with 0.64μm pixels and dynamic pixel binning technology. The new 200MP ISOCELL HP1 has a native pixel size of 0.64μm and has a 1/1.22-inch sensor size. The company claims that the sensor brings ultra high resolution in a compact package that fits easily into modern handheld devices.
The sensor features a brand new Chameleon Cell technology, a pixel-binning technology that uses a 2×2 or 4×4 or full pixel layout, depending on the environmental lighting. At 2×2, the sensor delivers 50MP pixel binned photos with 1.28μm pixels. In 4×4 mode, the sensor delivers 12.4MP images with 2.65μm pixel size.
The ISOCELL HP1 can also record 8K resolution video at 30 frames-per-second (fps) with minimal loss of field of view.
Meanwhile, Motorola is working on a Moto Edge X smartphone. This upcoming smartphone from Motorola is expected to have a 60MP OmniVision OV60A 0.61μm selfie camera sensor. The smartphone is said to feature a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50A 1/1.55-inch primary camera at the back.
