Motihari Mob Lynching Sparks Outrage, Police Respond

A mob lynched a saint in Motihari. The incident occurred in the Govindganj police station area. It is said that late at night, Naga Baba from Sirni Mathiya was riding his motorcycle when he accidentally collided with a youth in Tikulia village. Although the youth was not injured, some villagers caught the saint, tied him to a pole, and began beating him. Despite the saint repeatedly begging for mercy, the unruly mob was not willing to understand the saint’s suffering.

The assaulted saint has filed a complaint with the police. Police have registered a case and begun searching for the culprits. The incident occurred in Lal Kishore Giri alias Naga Baba’s presence in Chatiya village of Malahi police station area in Motihari. He was traveling to the temple on his bike when a young man from Tikulia village collided with his bike on the way.

A video of this mob lynching has surfaced. The video shows the saint repeatedly pleading that he might die, but the assailants seem unaffected by his appeals. The villagers continued to beat Naga Baba for quite some time. Despite the saint pleading for mercy repeatedly, the mob was not willing to listen.

The mob continued to beat the saint for quite some time. During this time, a retired police officer from the village arrived and freed the saint from the clutches of the mob. One person has been arrested based on the saint’s complaint. However, the rest of the accused are currently on the run.
