1. Captain resigns from the post of CM after discord in Punjab
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has resigned on Saturday. The Captain reached Raj Bhavan with MP wife Preneet Kaur and son Raninder Singh at around 4.30 pm and submitted his resignation to the Governor. This was followed by a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party in Chandigarh. In this, the right to choose a new leader has been given to the acting president of the party, Sonia Gandhi.
