, “The CPI(M) in its present form rejects the proposal and insists that the draft recommendations are prejudicial to the larger interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which may endanger regional unity,” Tarigami said.
JK Awami National Conference (ANC) president Khaleda Shah claimed that there is no one to accept the report anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the exercise of delimitation cannot be done in the absence of legislature or elected government.
“This exercise is illogical, unfair and rejected by the people and across party lines. The people of Jammu and Kashmir will not allow the delimitation exercise to succeed, irrespective of region or religion,” he said.
