Monsoon has knocked in Himachal Pradesh this time on June 29 and Sawan has started very well, but this time the monsoon may remain slow in Himachal Pradesh. Because instead of shifting to Pakistan and Tibet after Himachal Pradesh, this time the monsoon is moving towards Gujarat and Rajasthan. This is not being considered as a good sign for the state. Due to this change in the shifting pattern of monsoon, there may be a decrease in rainfall in the state.

Surendra Pal, director of the Meteorological Center Shimla, said that due to the move of the monsoon towards the north-west, the possibility of rain in the higher areas of Himachal Pradesh decreases slightly. He expressed confidence that the monsoon would recover in the coming days. Generally after Himachal, the monsoon shifts towards Pakistan. Sometimes he even goes to Tibet.

This time due to the move of monsoon towards North-West, the lower areas are getting more rain than the higher areas of the state. However, two days ago, the Meteorological Center Shimla had issued an alert of very heavy rain in higher areas of Shimla, Mandi, Kullu district. Despite the alert, there has been only scattered rain. However, good rains were recorded on June 29, the day of the entry of monsoon.

Entry in Himachal through Uttarakhand

In Himachal Pradesh, the entry of North-West Monsoon occurs first in Sirmaur district via Arabian Sea, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand. This time too, the monsoon has knocked in Devbhoomi Himachal on June 29 in the same way.

Monsoon entry takes place in two phases

The entry of monsoon in the state takes place in two phases. In the first phase, the monsoon knocks over the higher areas of Sirmaur, Shimla, Kinnaur, Kullu, Mandi and Chamba. After an interval of one to one and a half weeks, in the second phase, monsoon rains start in the low-lying areas of Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Una, Solan, Kangra and Mandi.

Gives knock between 24 to 25 June

According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, the monsoon usually remains active for more than three months after knocking on June 24 to 25 and leaves the state by the last week of September. There has been a slight change in the trend of monsoon going during the last few years. Now the monsoon is returning in the first week of October as well.

What will be the impact of monsoon shifting trend?

Change in the trend of shifting monsoon is not a good sign. If the pace of monsoon slows down, then its worst effect will be on apple and power generation. Apple and power projects are already hit by drought.

Due to lack of good rains, the water level in the rivers and streams will remain low. Due to this power production will not be able to fully return on track. Similarly, the shape of apple will also be badly affected by drought. The gardeners of the state are already facing the brunt of drought. It will also affect the cash crops of farmers like corn, capsicum, cauliflower, cabbage etc.
