Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone recently made a public appearance in a sunshine yellow dress, flaunting her baby bump. Soon after, she announced on social media that the dress would be available for sale and the proceeds would go to charity. Now, as per reports, the dress has been sold for a whopping Rs 34,000.
Hindustan Times reported that the gown was sold 72 hours after Deepika’s appearance and brought in Rs 34,000. Deepika Padukone also took to her Instagram story to share that the gown was sold. It was designed by duo Gauri and Nainika.
On Friday, the actress took to her Instagram story to share a series of photos in the bright yellow dress, flaunting her baby bump. Radiating her pregnancy glow, the actress also made a strong case for maternity fashion. Her million-dollar smile complimented her, making her look effortlessly glamorous and elegant. She was a complete vision to behold and looked breathtaking from every angle.
Deepika Padukone is expecting her first child with Ranveer Singh. Deepika was recently trolled when she stepped out to cast her vote, where a section of netizens called her baby bump ‘fake’. Amid the ongoing trolling of the actress on social media, senior journalist Faye D’Souza penned a strongly-worded post on her official Instagram account and showed her solidarity with Deepika.
In her post, Faye wrote, “Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.” Ranbir Kapoor’s wife and actress Alia Bhatt was quick to like the post. In fact, Alia’s sisters, Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, and her mother, Soni Razdan, liked the post too.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika is working through her pregnancy. The actress is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. In the film, she will be playing the role of a ruthless police officer. Besides this, Deepika will also be seen in Kalki 2898 AD in which she will be sharing the screen with Jr NTR and Amitabh Bachchan.
