Mohammad Rizwan hilariously photobombs Joshua da Silva during pre-match interview

The second and last Test match between West Indies and Pakistan is currently going on at Sabina Park in Jamaica and so far this match has managed to keep the fans attached to their seats. The audience has witnessed many spectacular performances from both the sides. Apart from some mind-boggling cricket, the players from both the sides also shared some light moments. One such occasion came during West Indies wicket-keeper batsman Joshua da Silva’s pre-match interview before the start of the third day’s play.

Silva was talking to the on-field commentator when Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan pounced on him from behind to tease him. And da Silva could do nothing but laugh at Rizwan’s antics. Rizwan then went back to meet Silva to complete his interview.

After witnessing the light moment between Silva and Rizwan, the commentator asked if the West Indies cricketer shared a good relationship with the Pakistani player and he said yes.

The video of the same was shared with the official Twitter handle of West Indies Cricket.

“Very strange! Rizwan quipped fellow wicketkeeper Joshua da Silva during his pre-match interview,” West Indies Cricket captioned the clip on the microblogging site.

Fans were also shocked by Silva and Rizwan’s friendship and they soon filled the post with their own comments.

Responding to Potts, a fan wrote, ‘Rizwan the man with the golden heart!

“Wow wow. West Indies and Pakistan have always had good relations and this video sets a good example of that,” wrote another fan on Twitter.

Another cricket enthusiast compared da Silva to former West Indies great Peter Jeffrey Leroy Dujon.

The user wrote, “Da Silva has a bit of Dujon.”

Meanwhile, West Indies need 280 runs on the fifth day to win the second Test. On the other hand, Pakistan need just nine wickets to level the two-match Test series 1-1.
