Mohammad Iqbal was serving as a constable in 11 Battalion BSF when he was martyred during counter insurgency operation at Bandipur in 2000. He is survived by his wife and five children.
Deputy Commandant of STC BSF, Udhampur also requested SSP BSF will facilitate martyr families residing in Ramban District Ramban along with any administrative assistance as and when required.
The family of Late Mohammad Iqbal welcomed the move of BSF to issue the Operational Casualty Certificate as it would help them to avail various facilities from the Central/State Governments.
