Modi will face defeat if he contests elections in Telangana: Niranjan Reddy

Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy was speaking at a meeting after inaugurating the godown of TS Warehouse Corporation at Choularamram in Adagudur mandal of Yadadri-Bhongir district on Sunday.

Yadadri-Bhongir: Minister of Agriculture Singareddy Niranjan Reddy said on Sunday that the people of Telangana would defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi if he contested from any Lok Sabha constituency in the state in the next elections.

Speaking after inaugurating a Telangana State Warehouse Corporation godown at Chollararam in Adagudur mandal, Niranjan Reddy cited news reports that Modi may contest from the seat. Telangana, and said that the people here are well aware of the discrimination shown by the Modi government in allocation of projects and funds to Telangana. He said that the Center is also hatching a conspiracy to create hurdles in the welfare schemes and development programs being implemented in the state.

Stating that Modi has not fulfilled his election promise of linking the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.NREGAAlong with agricultural works, Niranjan Reddy said that Modi, who had promised to double farmers’ income, had adopted anti-farmer policies and also refused to procure paddy from Telangana farmers.

Energy Minister G Jagadeesh Reddy said that Modi is targeting the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao The country is unable to digest his growing popularity due to the welfare schemes being implemented in the state. The people of Telangana will not accept Modi, who has not fulfilled any of his election promises. BRS was the only one in the country which fulfilled all the promises made in its election manifesto.

Rajya Sabha MP Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Telangana State Cooperative Oilseeds Growers Federation Chairman K Ramakrishna Reddy, Telangana Warehouse Corporation chairman Saichand, Zilla Parishad Chairman Alimineti Sandeep Reddy and Thungathurthy MLA Gadari Kishore were present.
