Modi in Varanasi: During his visit to Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the National Education Policy is not just any other document, but a roadmap that shapes our education system. The Prime Minister also said that there is a growing need to link our education with the modern of the 21st century.

PM Modi was speaking at the inaugural session of the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the basic objective of the National Policy on Education (NEP) is to bring education out of the narrow thought process and integrate it with the thoughts and ideas of the future.

The Prime Minister said that we should not only prepare degree holders but also develop human resources in such a way that the country can be prepared for the challenges of the future.

“I am sure that India will soon emerge as a global hub for education. For this, we are creating world class institutions that will help create opportunities for the youth. We are ensuring that the NEP files I am not just another document, but a roadmap that guides our education system,” he said.

He also said that in the present times, the fields and opportunities which were earlier sclerotic are now being opened up to all. Many marginalized groups are now enjoying unprecedented opportunities.

He said that through the National Educational Policy (NEP), we aim to create employers. The Prime Minister said that the responsibility of fulfilling the dreams of Amrit Mahotsav lies with the education system and the youth.

He said that India not only recovered rapidly from the COVID pandemic, but also became one of the fastest growing large economies of the world. “We are now the third largest startup ecosystem in the world,” he said.
