Modi in France Day 2: PM to witness Bastille Day Parade, hold delegation-level talks | Here’s full itinerary

PM Modi’s second day in France: PM Modi, who is on a two-day official visit to France, will join French President Emmanuel Macron as the guest of honor at the French National Day celebrations in Paris today. Indian tri-services contingents will be part of the Bastille Day parade, while Indian Air Force aircraft will fly-past on the occasion.

“Today, at around 1:30 pm IST, PM Narendra Modi will witness the Bastille Day parade and will also meet French President Emmanuel Macron along with the Indian contingent,” according to an official statement.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister of France as well as the Speakers of the Senate and the National Assembly of France.

“At around 4:30 pm IST, the PM will attend a lunch hosted by Braun-Pivet, the President of the National Assembly. After this, PM will meet various thinkers at around 6:15 pm Indian time. At approximately 8:30 pm IST, the Prime Minister will attend a formal reception at the Elysee Palace, followed by delegation-level talks and press statements.

He will separately interact with Indian expatriates in France, CEOs of Indian and French companies and prominent French personalities. At around 10:30 am (IST), the PM will participate in the India-France CEO Forum.

Later at around midnight (IST), PM Modi will visit the Louvre Museum where he will also attend a gala dinner. After this, PM Modi and President Macron will watch the display of fireworks at the Eiffel Tower.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the India-France Strategic Partnership and the visit of the Prime Minister provides an opportunity to outline the partnership for the future in various areas such as strategic, cultural, scientific, educational and economic cooperation.
