PM targeting the previous Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh Narendra Modi On Tuesday, she alleged that she does not want to build houses for the poor and is creating hurdles in the implementation of the Central Housing Scheme. He said that before 2017, Rs 18,000 crore was sanctioned to Uttar Pradesh to build houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, but the previous government had not even built 18 houses.

On the other hand, the Yogi Adityanath government has completed nine lakh houses under the scheme and 14 lakh are under construction, Modi said. The remarks came after the Prime Minister handed over the keys of PMAY-U houses digitally to 75,000 beneficiaries.

Modi said that his government has made three crore poor families lakhpatis. He also inaugurated the ‘Azadi@75-New Urban India: Transforming Urban Landscape’ conference-cum-expo here.

After reaching the Indira Gandhi Foundation, Modi along with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Governor Anandiben Patel visited three exhibitions being put up at the expo. He also inquired about the Ayodhya development masterplan.
