As a mark of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government eight years On top of the country, News18 caught up with his younger brother, in Gujarat, away from the hubbub. Prahlad Modi is the Vice President of All India Fair Price Shop Dealers Federation, and he used to run a ration shop till recently. He shared with News18 memories of the prime minister’s youth days and his assessment of the government’s performance. Edited excerpt:
how are you feeling Narendra Modi The government completed eight years?
We are feeling very happy as a family. In the 1970s he dropped everything and left. Now he is the son of the nation. He is the patron of every Indian. He is from a poor family, and now see what he is doing. He is making India proud. this is the first time that Prime Minister US President Biden has praised our country in this way. Modi ji has not only made us proud but has made India proud.
What is the most important thing the Modi government has done?
He has stood with every Indian. He wanted ‘Vikas for all’ and for this he is working continuously. Because of him everyone is a proud Indian today.
Any anecdote that you remember about him?
He was hardworking since childhood. He was good in studies. He never bothered anyone. He was very focused and different. We always looked up to him. Whatever he did, we followed him.
What score would you give to his government?
I would give more than 10 out of 10 because his government has done excellently. He has handled Corona very well. He has taken India’s image to new heights at the international level. Now India is one of the most important players in the international fraternity.
What do you want to say to him on the completion of eight years of his government?
I wish him all the best. We wish him to stay healthy and fit. He is the son of India and also the protector of India. People want him more, he should stay in government for next 15 years. India is his family and India needs him.
