“I want to continue working for the people of the state. Bengal comes first for me,” he said.

“I will do whatever is asked of me by the party… and who knows that the number of 18 (Lok Sabha) seats in 2019 may reach 36 seats in 2024,” Chakraborty said.

Earlier on Monday, he reached the State BJP office and held a marathon meeting with State BJP President Sukant Majumdar and other senior leaders of the State BJP. According to state BJP sources, The party plans to include Chakraborty for the saffron camp’s plans For the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
