Ghana: India captain Mithali Raj on Sunday heaped praise on batsman Smriti Mandhana and veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami for scoring her maiden Test century here.

“The memory has been very impressive. I was also influenced by Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh in ODIs. I am sure Harmanpreet (who is injured) will take the field in T20s.”

He further added that 38-year-old Jhulan also showed why she has been the best of her country for so long. “Jhulan has always been our best bowler over the years and we got to see why she was the best. He shared his experience and young pacers Pooja Vastrakar and Meghna Singh were given a chance along with Jhulan so that they can learn a lot.”

India dominated the entire match, with Smriti’s super century in the first innings putting them out of reach of the ‘hosts’. However, they did not have enough time to dismiss the hosts twice and almost an entire day of the match was washed away.
