Kingston: Head Coach of Pakistan misbah-ul-haqi has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be in quarantine for the next 10 days while the rest of the team fly to Lahore after completing a Test and T20I series.
“Misbah, who is asymptomatic, will now undergo a 10-day quarantine, after which he will leave for Pakistan,” the Pakistan Cricket Board said in a statement.
Misbah was the only member of Pakistan’s squad that failed two pre-departure PCR tests. All other members will leave Jamaica as scheduled later on Wednesday.
NS PCB is in constant touch Cricket West Indies who have confirmed that Misbah will be shifted to another hotel for a 10-day quarantine with a medical specialist to look after his health and well being.
Pakistan played a 1-1 draw against West Indies in the two-match Test series that ended on Tuesday.
They had won the last four-match T20I series 1-0.
