Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput opened up about the complications she experienced when she was pregnant with Misha Kapoor.

Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput revealed she almost had a miscarriage when she was pregnant with her daughter, Misha Kapoor. Mira revealed that when she was four months pregnant, she had dilated so much that her doctor got worried after seeing her sonogram and asked her to get complete bed rest to avoid the miscarriage. She also hinted that she was hospitalised for two and a half months.

Mira, who was 21 when she was pregnant, told Prakhar Gupta on his podcast, “Not many people know this, but when I was pregnant with my daughter, it was my first pregnancy. and you are like, oh, I am 21-20,. Whatever. I am healthy, and I am like very fit and the prime of my life in having kids. What so worse can happen, and I almost miscarried when I was four months pregnant. Came back and had this sonography and the doctor tells me that lie down right now.”

Recalling the day she got her sonogram, Mira said that the doctor and Shahid had a worried face on. “Normally, you go for sonography, you come back, and you are chatting, ‘hahaha, oh wow, so cute, and all that..’Everything was just different. He is like I need to talk to you but you can’t be sitting, please lie down. Because I had already dilated and I was four months pregnant, so he told me, ‘You can lose your baby any moment,’” she recalled.

Mira then hinted that she was hospitalised and was kept under observation for two and a half months. This impacted her mental health and Shahid could notice it. After requesting the doctor to discharge her with the assurance to set up a hospital at home, Shahid took Mira home.

“At the end of two and a half months, I wanted to get off from there, but couldn’t get off the bed, so Shahid spoke to my doctor and told him, ‘I will set up the home as a hospital, will put up the bed, and get everything, but let her be at home.’ He was seeing that it was taking a toll on me mentally. So, we did this, went back home, my whole family come to see me surprises me. They surprised me, and I was so overwhelmed that I started getting contractions,” Mira said.

She said she was rushed back to the hospital. The turn of events took a toll on her yet again. However, this time, Shahid put his foot down and decided she will be taken care at home for her mental happiness and happiness. Once she returned home, Shahid ensured all precautions were taken. Mira eventually welcomed Misha on August 26, 2017. Mira said the doctor called the little one a ‘miracle baby’.
