Ishaan Khatter is set to make his Hollywood debut in Susanne Bier’s upcoming crime series, The Perfect Couple. The series stars Nicole Kidman in the lead role. Ishaan recently shared the trailer on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of his role. Among the many who reacted to the trailer, his sister-in-law Mira Rajput had the sweetest response. Mira shared the trailer on her Instagram stories with a heartfelt message for her brother-in-law. “Solid! Proud of you. You won brother,” she wrote.
The trailer shared by Ishaan begins with a happy scene featuring Greer Garrison Winbury (Played by Nicole) and her husband Tag Winbury (Played by Liev Schreiber) talking about their marriage with a guest. Greer welcomes all the attendees to her son’s wedding including Amelia Sacks (Played by Eve Hewson) and plans everything carefully to ensure it is the event of the season. However, the perfect day takes a dark turn when a body is discovered on the beach.
Suddenly, everyone becomes a suspect, and the investigation begins. The trailer then shows Ishaan’s brief appearance, where he can be seen flaunting his bare body in the shower as someone walks in. The scene captures him turning around with a surprised expression on his face. “Just a tease,” Ishaan wrote in the caption.
Ishaan’s father, Rajesh Khattar, also expressed his excitement and wrote “Wohooo” in the comment. His Pippa co-star Soni Razdan added, “Whoa, can’t wait.” Ishaan’s fans and followers flooded the comment section with love and admiration. The Perfect Couple is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s 2018 novel of the same name. In the series, Ishaan plays the role of Shooter Dival. The cast also includes Dakota Fanning as Abby Winbury, Meghann Fahy as Merritt Monaco, Michael Beach as the Chief of Police, Jack Reynor as Thomas Winbury, and more. The series is set to release on Netflix on September 5.
Apart from The Perfect Couple, Ishaan will also appear in Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film Jee Le Zaraa. The film features Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
