Prayagraj: A minor girl was murdered inside her house on Thursday morning in Harirampur village of Puramufti police station area of Prayagraj district. SP (City) Dinesh Kumar Singh told TOI that unidentified assailants had hit the minor girl sleeping in her room on the forehead with a heavy object on Wednesday night.
He further said that five family members were sleeping in the verandah of the house while the girl was sleeping alone in the room of the house.
He also said that the police is probing the matter thoroughly and all angles including the love affair are being investigated.
The SP said that forensic experts have collected evidence as there was a short exit at the back of the house. The police suspect that the unknown killers may have made contact and escaped through this route.
His family members told the police that he had no enmity with anyone.
However, the police said that the family members had broken the SIM and mobile of the deceased girl a few days back when they came to know about her affair with a local boy. Investigation is on and a case has also been registered in this regard.
