Ministry of Tourism signs MoU with Airbnb to promote cultural tourism

New Delhi: Airbnb on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Union Ministry of Tourism to promote India’s heritage sites and encourage cultural tourism.

Airbnb signed the MoU in the presence of Union Tourism Minister G Krishnan Reddy, Tourism Secretary V Vidyavati and Airbnb India General Manager Amanpreet Bajaj.

The hosting company has partnered with the Ministry of Tourism to promote inbound tourism as a part of the ‘Visit India 2023’ initiative and is also planning to launch a dedicated ‘Spirit of India’, dedicated to India’s tourism.
