Mindy Kaling is enjoying her time in Jaipur.
Mindy Kaling posted several pictures from her trip in Jaipur. He was accompanied by Dan Goor, the writer of the untitled film.
Indian-American actress and comedian Mindy Kaling is best known for her portrayal of Kelly Kapoor in the popular sitcom The Office. The actor-producer is currently scouting the city of Jaipur and this could be a recce run for the upcoming wedding film with Priyanka Chopra. The film is expected to be on the lines of Crazy Rich Asians and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Kaling is accompanied by Dan Goor, the writer of that film.
On Sunday, Mindy Kaling shared several pictures on her Instagram handle, in which she is seen posing in various tourist places. The actress was dressed in a red and white sundress, exquisite sandals and looked very happy in all the pictures. One of the photos also featured Dan Moore sitting right next to him munching on some delicious papaya. The album included photographs of the magnificent hallways and monuments of Jaipur. He wrote in the caption, “The Pink City”.
Many of Mindy’s followers were quick to react to her stay in Jaipur. One of them wrote, “Papaya is the target in the Pink City! How was it?” Another commented, “Pretty in pink!!” Another said, “Impeccable vibes!” A fan said, “Need that dress! Needed, I tell you!” Another wrote, “The dress, the shoes, the purse!! It’s everything!!”
Earlier last year, Mindy and Priyanka’s collaboration was in the news in which they will play cousins, one of them American-Indian and the other born in India. Speaking with Forbes, the actress shared the importance of imbibing the Asian experience in her projects. She shared, “We are really proud of this, we show South Asian Americans who are from Southern India. Then we show a Muslim Indian girl. Culturally we see how they differ from each other. The Asian experience is not a monolith. Why would people know that if they don’t have shows that explain and explore that difference?”
Revealing about the project, Mindy further said, “I have this film with Priyanka Chopra, she is a Punjabi Indian. India And I am an Indian American Bengali girl from East Coast. It’s so different and that’s what makes our dynamic together so fun.”
