Together Mode was added to Microsoft Teams in 2020. This feature uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to keep all the participants in the virtual meeting. To use the feature, a meeting must have at least five participants. But now it is being reduced to two participants.

If you have a work account, you may not have the option to start a meeting with two participants. According to Microsoft, the ability to turn preview on or off for such accounts is controlled by the organization.
Microsoft Teams Video is reportedly working on new features to improve the platform. The company has already rolled out the ability to use live emoji and GIFs. If a group call is missed, they can return to the conversation, read the chat thread, and post their GIF to continue the conversation.
Microsoft has also added a feature that allows one to create shared to-do lists and assign tasks to other people in the group. Microsoft Teams users can use polls to decide the activities that most family members are most interested in doing during the weekends or holidays.
