(Reuters) – Microsoft Corp said on Wednesday that it was cutting substantially its business in Russia, joining companies that are reducing their exposure or exiting the country after the Ukraine invasion .

However, the company said it would fulfill its existing contractual obligations with Russian customers while the suspension of new sales it announced earlier in March is in effect.

“As a result of the change in the economic outlook and the impact on our business in Russia, we have made the decision to significantly reduce our operations in Russia,” a Microsoft spokesperson said.
