Former Australia captain Michael Clarke landed in trouble after his video went viral where he can be seen getting slapped by his girlfriend. The 41-year-old was spotted having a heated exchange with Jade Yarbrough while on holiday in Noosa, Queensland, where his partner was repeatedly accused of having an affair with his ex-girlfriend, high-profile fashion designer, Pip Edwards having had.

Although the video has blurry footage, the audio is crystal clear where Clarke can be heard denying the allegations.

“You want to send her India with you?’ Yarbrough yells in the video. “I’ve seen the texts. ‘You’re the love of my life, Pip, come with me to India’,” she adds before slapping Clarke’s face while the 41-year-old pleads innocence.

Clarke was accompanied by Yarbrough, her sister Jasmine and her husband and media personality Karl Stefanovic.

However, this seems to be the beginning of his troubles as the BCCI is reportedly planning to shelve Clarke. Here, it should be mentioned that he was all set to do commentary in the Border Gavaskar Trophy starting on 9th February. Plus, Clark had already lost a potential deal with a skincare brand. If the BCCI reins in Clarke, they will stand to lose several Australian dollars.

Clarke, who has represented Australia in 115 Tests, 245 ODIs and 34 T20Is, scoring 8643, 7981 and 488 runs respectively, issued an apology for his behaviour.

“I am utterly disappointed that I have put people in this position whom I hold in the highest regard. My actions in the lead-up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable. Clarke told The Daily Telegraph, Totally boss and it’s only my fault.”

This is not the first time that Michael Clarke’s personal life has grabbed headlines. He was married to Kylie Clarke for seven years before the couple split in 2019. Following their divorce, Clarke was in a relationship with Edwards until December 2021.
