Metaverse Fashion: From Paris Hilton to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Designers Pick the Celebrity Avatars They’d Like to Create

On June 17th, Mark Zuckerberg posted a message on Facebook that read: We’re launching our Avatar Store on Facebook, Instagram and Messenger so you can buy digital clothes to style your avatar. Digital goods will be an important way to express ourselves as a big driver of the metaverse and the creative economy. ,

The post also featured don stylish outfits of him and his wife Eva Chen Avatar. Excited by the move, he continued, “I’m excited to add more brands and bring it to VR soon. Eva Chen and I tried out some new looks from Balenciaga, Prada and Thom Browne — a change of pace from my terrycloth sweater.” (sic).

Seeing that more brands will be part of the metaverse fashion world, we spoke to a few Indian designers and asked them if they had been approached about which celebrities would like to see their creations and what they would like to showcase on various meta platforms. Here’s what they had to say:

Designer: Pink Porcupine by Aniket Satami

Celebrity Avatar: Paris Hilton

I’ll set aside something fun, quirky and eclectic. We can explore extremely diverse wild and fun design elements for projects like this because it helps you do things more creatively than it is in a virtual format. Nice colors, eclectic prints and fun experimental shapes I’d love to explore. Paris Hilton’s Metaverse looks cool and would complement our design aesthetics perfectly. Our metallic hot pink dress with exaggerated sleeves would be perfect for her.

Designer: Freedom by Priest Jain Nainutiya

Nirmoh is known for its distinctive cording techniques, embroidery and signature embellishments, so it is highly implied that our meta collection will feature these elements. While it would be nice to see our desi designs on the futuristic meta platform, we would love to see Bella Hadid’s avatar in our brown micro halter neck dress with a contrasting hemline due to the youthful and attractive modern cutouts and trendy colour. It will fit ever-rising fashion icons and supermodels like a glove. Conversely, we’d also like to see the Queen Bee (Beyonce) wear one of her new traditional outfits, which features a hand-embroidered blouse with cording detail, draped chiffon printed saree, and a hand-embroidered belt.

Designer: Shruti Sancheti

Celebrity Avatar: Priyanka Chopra Jonas

If approached, I will definitely design clothing that incorporates the unique heritage of weaving, textiles and crafts. India Even if in a global way. Therefore, I will put my contemporary Indian collection on this platform. I want a strong Indian personality with a global presence like Priyanka Chopra Jonas to wear it.

Designer: Anushree Parekh

Celebrity Avatar: Anne Hathaway

If approached, I will create looks that will make this the perfect avatar wardrobe with a touch of fun and drama. As far as celebrities are concerned, I would love to see Anne Hathaway in one of my creations. She is iconic, evergreen and she has always been a muse! I would love to see her in a fun print Anushree midi dress with statement labels.

Designer: Pink Peacock Couture By Masumi Mewawala

Celebrity Avatar: Deepika Padukone

In my opinion, this is an evolutionary step in the fashion world. I will share an Indo-Western drape saree or dhoti keeping in mind my couture aesthetic. I would like to see one of my outfits on Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Seeing Asian celebrities wearing Indo Western silhouettes will add more flair to their respective looks.
