“My term is coming to an end in the next six to seven months and after that, I will start a campaign to unite the people of North India. Such situations can be avoided if people stay united. Now the Center has accepted only half of the demands of farmers and many are still pending, including the Minimum Support Price (MSP) on crops. And people have to come together to win this fight,” he told the gathering.
“If I remained silent on farmer’s issues, I was offered to become the President of India and other benefits, but I chose to speak up. They tried to woo me in every way possible, but failed.”
Speaking about the January 26 incident, Malik said that the farmers did no wrong by hoisting ‘Nishan Sahib’ on a pole in front of the Red Fort. “The Sikh community has sacrificed a lot and Nishan Sahib is a symbol of their dignity. But he was blamed for deliberately dividing the protest. ,
