Meghalaya Election 2023: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at Mamata Banerjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his election rally in Meghalaya. Addressing an election rally here, he said that TMC is helping BJP to win elections by contesting elections. In a direct attack on the saffron party, he also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his ties with the Adani group, claiming that the group gets “gifts” whenever the PM goes abroad.
Rahul calls BJP ‘class-bully’
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is now busy with the upcoming assembly elections in Meghalaya. He launched a scathing attack on the impossible party ties between BJP and TMC. He alleged that the Mamata Banerjee-led camp is contesting the elections to ensure BJP’s victory in the state. He also called BJP a ‘class bully’ and alleged that the saffron party has no respect for others.
He said, ‘You know the history of TMC and the violence in Bengal. Many scams like Sharda scam have been exposed. That’s exactly what they plan to do here. TMC’s idea is to ensure that BJP is strong and they come to power.
Criticizing the BJP and the RSS, he said both were destroying the culture of Meghalaya and asserted that he would not allow them to harm the culture, identity or history. BJP and RSS are destroying your culture, but we will not let them harm your culture, identity or history. Our country is not a violent country. Only a coward tries to impose his will on others. Rahul’s jacket center of attraction
Rahul Gandhi appeared in a special jacket for the rally. She said that her special dress for the day is to honor the culture and tradition of Meghalaya. He said, ‘When I come here to Meghalaya, I try to understand your perspective, listen to you and appreciate your history, culture and traditions. I am wearing this jacket as a mark of respect for your culture and traditions. My actions reflect this jacket.’
Rahul questioned the relationship between Modi and Adani
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday continued his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his links with the Adani Group, claiming that the group gets “gifts” whenever the PM goes abroad. Addressing an election rally here, Gandhi said the group has access to each and every business as its chief Gautam Adani is close to the prime minister.
Claiming that television channels and newspapers did not properly cover his speech in the Lok Sabha on the subject, he alleged that the media was in the hands of powerful and close aides of the Prime Minister. “Whenever the PM goes abroad, Mr Adani gets a gift. PM went to Bangladesh, Mr. Adani got a gift. PM went to Australia, Mr. Adani got a gift. PM went to Sri Lanka, Mr. Adani got a gift.

Rahul took a dig at Adani and Modi
Without naming Adani, the Congress leader said that a businessman went from 609th to become the second richest man in the world in a few years. “He (Adani) owns the ports, airports; He builds; He works for the defense sector; He dominates the apple trade in Himachal Pradesh,” Gandhi said. The former Congress president claimed that the scale of corruption at the Center was perhaps “never seen” in Indian history. Gandhi said she had asked the prime minister to disclose her links with Adani in a Lok Sabha speech earlier this month, but received no response.
