Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma tests Covid a day after meeting Amit Shah, Himanta

Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, a day after he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Delhi. Sangma urged everyone who came in contact with him to isolate themselves and get tested if needed.

He tweeted, “I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am self-isolating for the required time. I have mild symptoms. All those who came in contact with me in the last few days are requested to Observe your symptoms and get tested if necessary.”

Sangma and Sarma had met Shah on Thursday and asked him to submit a report on an amicable settlement of the dispute in some areas along the Meghalaya-Assam inter-state border.
