Mega war on vector borne diseases in Ahmedabad today | Ahmedabad News – Times of India

AHMEDABAD: A mega campaign will be launched on Monday to monitor vector-borne diseases, officials of the Health Department of Ahmedabad district administration said on Sunday.
“In all, 466 villages in the districts will be covered by officials from 40 PHCs and 215 government health centres,” a senior district official said.
“Due to the pattern of rain this year, there has been an increase in vector-borne diseases such as Malaria, dengue And Chikungunya. The team will conduct survey, identify fever patients, mosquito breeding sites and take preventive steps,” said an official. The teams will have 40 doctors, 40 AYUSH offices and taluka health supervisors.
