While Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao reprise their roles in Stree 2, Sunil Kumar plays the main antagonist.

After a long wait, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky came together to save Chanderi with the OG Stree gang. Nearly, six years after the spooky events and doings of a mysterious woman (Shraddha Kapoor), Chanderi is now terrorised by a new “aatank,” a headless villain known as Sarkata. While viewers were left intrigued by this new villain in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, here are more interesting details about the actor who played Sarkata.

The Actor Behind Stree 2’s Sarkata

Hailing from Jammu, Sunil Kumar, also known as The Great Khali of Jammu, plays the main antagonist in Stree 2. With a height of 7 feet and 6 inches, he even surpasses the Indian wrestler. According to Bollywood Hungama, he serves as a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and even indulges in wrestling. Having played handball and volleyball, Kumar secured his job under the sports quota. In 2019, he took part in the WWE Tryout.

Speaking about the actor, director Amar Kaushik opened up about how he chose Sunil Kumar for the role. “The casting team found him. We wanted a man with such height, and he fit the bill. We used his body shots while the face of Sarkata was CGI-generated,” he told Bollywood Hungama.

Stree 2’s Performance At The Box Office

A direct sequel to the 2018 film, Stree 2 picks up where the first film left off, with several unanswered questions about the mysteries of Chanderi and Stree. This time, the town is haunted by a new villain who abducts the women of Chanderi, thus marking the return of Stree to defeat him. Rajkummar Rao returns as “rakshak” with his friends Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana), Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) and Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi).

Besides the returning stars, the film also packs some epic cameos from Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya and Akshay Kumar, seemingly hinting towards the next sequel in line.

Released on Independence Day, the film raked in over Rs 200 crore in just five days, also recording the biggest opening weekend of the year. As per Sacnilk, Stree 2 collected Rs 51.8 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 31.4 crore on Day 2, Rs 43.85 crore on Day 3, Rs 55.9 crore on Day 4, and Rs 37 crore on Day 5.
