You will be baffled to hear about the success story of one 42-year-old woman, who cracked a government exam and took a big leap after 11 years of marriage. The name of the woman is Mamta Karki, resident of Bageshwar, Uttarakhand. Mamta, by cracking the PCS exam, proved that success can be achieved at any age, no matter how old that person is. Mamta passed the exam in the year 2021, and got selected for the post of BDO. She did her early education from Bharatiya Bal Vidya Mandir in Haldwani. After completing her early education, she studied till intermediate from GGIC. Later, she completed her graduation in BTech from Pantnagar University. She completed her post-graduation, MTech from Delhi. She was also appointed for the post of professor, in the year 2005, through the Public Service Commission, where she taught in an engineering college for many years.

Mamta left her job in the year 2013 to take care of her family and children. Though this was not easy for her to make this decision. Throughout her life, her husband Jitendra Kalki, who is employed in Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) Hyderabad, supported her in every decision she took. Even after leaving her job, she continued to prepare for competitive exams along with raising her children with her family in Hyderabad. She applied for the Uttarakhand PCS exam and appeared in the 2021 exam, cracked it and became the BDO.

All these happened after 11 years of her marriage. She stood out as a role model for many women who aspire to dream big and do something in their life even after marriage. She has also proved that success can be acquired at any time, as age is not a factor.
