MediaTek announces Dimension 920 and Dimension 810 based on 6nm process – Times of India

mediatek announced the successor of quantitative 900 and Dimension 800 chipsets. dubbed as Dimensions 920 And Dimensions 810The new chipsets are based on TSMC’s 6nm manufacturing process.
Intended for mid-range devices, both SoCs are octa-core CPUs and bring slight performance improvements compared to their predecessor. The main difference between the two is in terms of high-performance cores. NS Dimension 920 Features Cortex-A78 core, while Dimensity 810 comes with Cortex-A76 core.
Both the SoCs are expected to arrive later this year.
MediaTek Dimensity 920 Chipset: Features
The Dimension 920 is the more powerful of the two and comes with two different core types including a Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.5GHz and a Cortex A55 core clocked at 2.0GHz. High-performance cores are meant to handle more intensive tasks like gaming, editing, etc., while low-powered cores are meant for lighter tasks.
MediaTek is also claiming a 9% gaming performance boost with the Dimensity 920’s Mali-G68 MC4.
In addition, the chipset supports LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage or LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The SoC also includes a 5G modem and VoNR service.
MediaTek Dimensity 810 Chipset: Features
Dimension 810 sits less than dimension 920 in the dimension family. It is also the first 800 series chipset to be manufactured on the 6nm process. It comes with Cortex-A76 core with a clock speed of 2.4GHz and Cortex-A55 core. As far as the graphics are concerned, it comes with Mali-G57 MC2 and supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
