New Delhi: India evacuated 400 people from Sunday Afghanistan On three different flights. Another group of 87 Indians and two Nepalese nationals were brought back from Dushanbe in a special Air India flight, a day after they were flown to the capital of Tajikistan in an IAF aircraft.
Here are the key developments in the Afghan situation and the ongoing evacuation process
IAF flight likely to evacuate 46 Afghan Hindus, Sikhs from Kabul today
A special Indian Air Force (IAF) flight carrying stranded Indian nationals and 46 Afghan Hindus and Sikhs is expected to take off from Kabul airport on Monday.
The report said that international forces have rescued those evacuated from the plane. Three copies of the Sikh scripture Guru Granth Sahib are also being brought back.
Separately, 135 Indians evacuated from Kabul to Doha by US and NATO planes in the last few days were sent back to Delhi on a special flight.
Government sources said that India has been given permission to operate two flights daily from Kabul to evacuate its citizens stranded in Afghanistan.
Foreign Ministry will brief political parties on the situation in Afghanistan
The Ministry of External Affairs will brief the leaders of the parties in Parliament on the situation in Afghanistan.
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said, “In view of the developments in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the Ministry of External Affairs to brief the floor leaders of political parties. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Joshi Pralhad will give further information.” A tweet message on Monday.

The Ministry of External Affairs is likely to share details of the ongoing rescue operation for people coming from Afghanistan and other arrangements made by the government and India’s concerns and challenges in the war-torn country.
