MCD Polls: BJP Leaders Target Kejriwal Over Corruption, Say Party Will Romp Home

BJP leaders, including Union ministers, on Thursday launched a joint attack against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying he looted Delhi by patronizing the corrupt and now wanted to loot the municipal corporation.

Campaigning for various party candidates in various wards ahead of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, BJP leaders said that if the party comes to power in the civic body, its double engine government will ensure all-round development of Delhi. Capital.

The BJP has ruled the MCD for 15 years and is seeking to come to power for the fourth time.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur said in a public meeting, ‘Earlier Kejriwal was known for U-turns, now he is known for doing politics of lies and deceit.

He said that AAP is trying to buy votes by selling tickets for the civic elections.

Union minister Narendra Tomar said that if the BJP wins the elections and its corporator becomes the mayor of Delhi, he will be no less powerful than Kejriwal.

Tomar told a gathering in Jahangirpuri area, “BJP’s double engine at the Center and in the MCD will ensure all-round development of Delhi.”

“AAP lost the elections in Uttarakhand, it will lose all the seats in Himachal Pradesh as well and (its candidates) will not be able to save their deposits in the Gujarat assembly elections,” he said.

Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta said that BJP will win more than 200 out of 250 wards in the municipal elections.

Bhojpuri stars and BJP MPs Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan and Dinesh Lal Yadav, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his Himachal Pradesh counterpart Jairam Thakur also campaigned for the party candidates in different wards.

Addressing public meetings in Badarpur and Chhatarpur, Dhami said that BJP’s lotus will bloom once again in the MCD elections.

Lotus is the election symbol of BJP.

The counting of votes for the municipal elections will be held on December 7.
