MCD Elections Results 2022: ‘World’s biggest, most negative party defeated,’ says Dy CM Manish Sisodia

New Delhi: Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Wednesday (December 7, 2022) thanked the people of Delhi for voting his party to victory in the MCD elections and said it was their mandate that made it the “world’s biggest and most Helped defeat the “negative party”. While the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has crossed the majority mark of 126, the BJP has won 99 seats, according to the latest State Election Commission data. The Congress was trailing far behind, winning only seven seats. Of the 250 wards that come under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), AAP has won 131 seats and is leading in three. The BJP, whose exit polls had predicted a massive defeat, put up a spirited fight and is leading in four, data available at 2 pm showed.

Heartfelt gratitude to the people of Delhi for trusting Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi MCD? , targeted the BJP. “For us it is not just a victory, it is a great responsibility,” he added. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is expected to address the people after the results.

The high-stakes election was held on 4 December, sealing the electoral fate of 1,349 candidates in voting machines. There was 50.48 percent voting in the election. The results of this election can have an impact outside the national capital as well.
