Ghoom Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein is one of the top rated shows to be airing on the television screens. In a tragic incident today, the sets of the show caught fire in Mumbai. The fire, which was reported from the set of the Star Plus serial, was said to be confined to the 2,000 square feet ground floor of the studio. Senior officers were present on the spot to give direction to the campaign. No casualty has been reported from the set.
All the crew members and cast present on the set were evacuated safely and an inquiry will be conducted soon to ascertain the cause of the incident. An official statement has also been released by its production house Cockcroo Entertainment Shaika Films. Five fire engines, two big hose lines, nine pumps and other equipment were deployed to fight the fire. The sets of Teri Meri Dooriyan and Aanjui have also reportedly been affected by the fire.
A spokesperson for Cockcroo Entertainment Shaika Films said, “A fire broke out on the sets of ‘Ghoom Hain Kisi Ke Pyar Mein’ this afternoon. All our staff, artistes, contractors and other partners on site are safe. We are aware of the damage caused by the incident and We are working to find out the limits and while our immediate priority is the health and safety of everyone on set, we will also work towards ensuring that we continue to provide entertainment to our viewers.”
The team was shooting a sequence in which a house catches fire, but the crew was unable to control things, resulting in the entire set being gutted. It is being told that around 2000 people were present on the set when the incident happened. Everyone was evacuated from the premises as soon as the fire broke out but everyone is still standing outside the set. The crew waits for the fire to be put out so that they can collect their belongings which are still inside the set rooms.
