Massive Fire At Godown In Delhi’s Kapashera Area; 16 Fire Tenders Rush To Spot

New Delhi: A huge fire broke out in a godown of Sonia Gandhi Camp in Samalkha Kapashera area on Thursday. Fire department officials gave this information. After receiving the information, 16 fire engines were immediately pressed into service, officials said and no casualty has been reported so far. Satpal said, “We received a call at around 9:38 pm, informing that a wood shop was on fire and it was Sonia Gandhi’s camp in Samalkha, Kapashera area. 16 fire tenders were working to douse the fire. Over 200 shops gutted in massive fire in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Earlier on Monday, more than 200 shops were gutted in a massive fire in the main market of Keonjhar district of Odisha and property worth crores was damaged. The exact cause of the fire could not be immediately ascertained, but the police suspect that a short circuit may have caused the fire. “At least 200 shops were gutted in the fire,” he said.

Five fire engines were pressed into service to douse the blaze, officials said, adding that the blaze was brought under control after more than two hours. A shopkeeper said, “Preliminary estimates suggest that property worth crores of rupees has been damaged.”

Earlier on Sunday (April 2, 2023) a man set a co-passenger on fire after an argument on an express train in Kerala, killing three people and injuring nine others. According to the news agency PTI, the incident took place at around 9.45 pm, when the train crossed Kozhikode city and reached Korapuzha Railway Bridge.

Bodies of a woman, a one-year-old baby and a man who went missing after the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train caught fire were recovered from the tracks near Elathur railway station. Police believe they may have fallen from the train or attempted to get down after seeing the fire.
