In this, two grooms arrived from Bidasar, one groom from Jodhpur and the other from Ladnun. The Bhandara continued till four o’clock in the morning. However, many people started complaining of vomiting and abdominal pain and diarrhea within a few hours of eating. When the condition of the people deteriorated, they were brought to the government hospital by auto and mini buses.
The crowd continued to throng the hospital till 2 pm the next day. Due to the huge number of sick people, the hospital in-charge had to call the entire medical staff at midnight for treatment. Unable to accommodate everyone in a single hospital, some were even shifted to private hospitals. It was also revealed that many members of the procession were also suffering from symptoms of indigestion and food poisoning, but by then they had left Sardarshahr. According to the information received, Sardarshahr Police reached the hospital as soon as the matter was reported and inquired about the matter.
