Marvel will reportedly hold their customary Saturday afternoon session in Hall H, the largest venue at the San Diego Convention Center.
Marvel Studios will reportedly be present this year at San Diego Comic-Con, unlike last year when they were conspicuously absent. As per reports, Marvel will hold their customary Saturday afternoon session in Hall H, the largest venue at the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC). The news was initially reported by Deadline, however as of now, Comic-Con’s performance lineup remains unannounced.
The announcement follows a muted SDCC 2023, devoid of big-name attendance and large panels because of the writer and actor strikes. Now this year, Comic-Con is scheduled for July 25–28. Marvel’s appearance coincides with the premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine, and of course, the two are not unrelated.
Considering that the movie releases the day before Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation, it wouldn’t be astonishing if Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman made an appearance to represent the studio’s debut R-rated film.
Marvel has a history of making significant announcements at Comic-Con, although they did not attend a Hall H panel the previous year. Phase 5 of the Multiverse Saga is still ongoing, and Kevin Feige’s studio is preparing to step things up.
However, when Marvel returns to Hall H, new films and television series are nearly always unveiled. There will be footage from Captain America: Brave New World, which is scheduled for release on February 14, which exhibitors at CinemaCon were able to see in advance.
Thunderbolts is a summer production set to begin on May 2 and stars the anti-heroes of Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barns, Wyatt Russell’s John Walker, and David Harbour’s Alexei Shostakov.
There’s a good chance we’ll see some trailers or maybe the actors from that picture in addition to other films and TV shows from the MCU’s future slate.
The filming of the Marvel series Wonder Man and Iron Heart, starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams from Wakanda Forever, is now complete.
Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy is the front-runner for the directorial role of the next Avengers, which is one of the projects without any footage, as per Deadline. A late-year production start is planned for the Michael Waldron-written film.
Then there’s Mahershala Ali’s Blade, which is now looking for a new director.
