The fourth generation of the Suzuki Jimny is on sale in our market in a 5-door version. The model has proved its worth in terms of tuning capability at the international level. Now, it is repeating the show in India as well. Earlier we shared pictures and videos of the example with 20-inch rims and 5-inch lift. Now, we have found another modified Maruti Suzuki Jimny which gets even bigger 22-inch alloy wheels shod with low-profile tyres. The alloy wheels feature a multi-spoke design with machined finish, and tire size is 265/35/R22.
The video has been uploaded to YouTube by Tarun Vlogs3445, where the host shows public reaction to the modified Jimny. While some owners are still waiting for the delivery, the owner here got the delivery in just 3-4 days after a single booking. Of course, these alloy wheels have increased the Jimny’s appeal and road presence, but the increased contact patch will negatively affect its performance and handling. Since the deliveries have just started, we are expecting to see some interesting and purposeful modifications to the Jimny.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Tire upgrade
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is being billed as a purpose-built off-roader. Thus, the most essential upgrade for an SUV is a good set of AT tyres. In such a case, owners can fit 215/75 or 235/70 tires on the stock rims. Apart from this, there are a lot of options available in the market from different brands – Ceat, Apollo, Yokohama, Continental, BF Goodrich and others.

Talking about mechanical specifications, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny gets a 1.5L K-Series engine with Idle Start-Stop technology and is tuned with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission option. It delivers fuel efficiency of 16.94 kmpl for the 5-speed MT and 16.39 kmpl for the 4-speed AT and comes with a permanent ALLGRIP PRO (4WD).
