Marathi film and TV show’s art director Raju Sapte on Saturday committed suicide at his house in Maharashtra’s Pimpri Chinchwad basti due to harassment allegedly by a man belonging to a labor union. Before taking the extreme step, Sapte shot a video in which she named the person whom she claimed had harassed her. Senior Inspector Vivek Mugalikar of Wakad police station said that the police have recovered the video clip and the suicide note. “We have registered a case of abetment to suicide. Further investigation is on,” he said.
In the video posted on social media, Sapte said that he was facing some issues since few days and was being harassed by the person who deliberately asked some laborers to spread wrong message about default in payment on my part. is asking for.
“I don’t have any dues. I am paying regularly. I have five projects and I have to start work immediately,” Sapta said.
“I am committing suicide. I pray for justice,” Sapte said in the video.
Sapte worked as an art director for films like ‘Ambat God’, ‘Manya the Wonder Boy’.
