A social media user, probably a bike enthusiast has come up with a performance upgrade, that has garnered accolades from the viewers. In a video shared on Twitter, users can see a bike with a plastic shield-like covering on its seat.
The bike is drenched in rain when its owner arrives and opens the shield. He then locks the covering, thereby protecting his body from the rain, and starts the bike. The rest of the clip shows him riding the two-wheeler smoothly without any hindrance due to the shield. The video has garnered more than 29 million views and counting. “Who thought this was a good idea”, the video’s caption reads.

However, another user had a counter-opinion on this tweet and raised some important points. This user tweeted that the bike doesn’t have wipers and the windows are tinted so it will be impossible to see in the dark. Also, as per the user, the shield upgrade will not be able to offer protection in a crash. He concluded his point by saying that the biker has made circumstances even worse for him by not wearing a helmet.

Besides this modification, people have come up with many more creative mechanisms in their bikes. The policemen who stopped this man for issuing challan were flummoxed to see this upgrade.
Motorcycle companies across the world have also come up with many performance upgrades. These upgrades have made bike riding a brilliant experience for users. Some of them are-
1. After-market suspension- After-market suspension helps the users to be able to adjust the compression and damping settings at sharp turns.
2. Lighter wheels and grippy tyres- Lighter wheels than the conventional ones help in shedding quite a considerable amount of weight from your motorcycle.
3. Higher performance and air filter- Due to the pores in high-performance air filters, more amount of air can kick into the combustion chamber. More air leads to better combustion and increased output.
