Manoj Bajpayee visits his ancestral home in Bihar for the first time after his mother’s death and tells how it reminds him of his childhood days.

Manoj Bajpayee, who is one of the most popular actors, recently visited his hometown Belwa Bahuri, Bihar. Talking about his new film Gulmohar, he recalled the good old days of his ancestral home. In a new video, the actor took fans on a tour of his home. The 53-year-old said that sooner or later we leave our ancestral homes to find work and earn money. He said that going back to his roots is very nostalgic.

The actor revealed that as a child, he used to steal “barfi” from his mother’s cupboard. During a tour, they pointed out what was partially restored and what remained as it was. He is also seen performing puja in his ancestral home. Lastly, the actor also talked about his upcoming film, and said, “Gulmohar has something for everyone. It will make you cry and it will make you smile. The actor went home for the first time without his mother. His mother Geeta Devi passed away in December 2022.

Earlier, speaking to News18, Manoj Bajpayee revealed, “Gulmohar is a different kind of family film and it is different from any film we have seen before. We hope everyone who sees it will enjoy it. It has been appreciated and praised by everyone who has seen it so far. When asked about working with Sharmila Tagore, he said, “The less I say about Sharmila ji, the less I know. She is one of the most beautiful and independent women.”

Gulmohar also stars Suraj Sharma, Amol Palekar and Simran in pivotal roles. The film will mark the return of Sharmila Tagore to cinema after a gap of 12 years. This project is produced by Star Studios in association with Chalkboard Entertainment and autonomous work. Gulmohar, directed by Rahul Chitela and written by Rahul Chitela and Arpita Mukherjee, will premiere on Disney+ hotstar On 3 March.
