Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Sunday in the 98th episode of the radio show Mann Ki Baat.

PM Modi said that nowadays Indian toys have become such a craze that their demand has increased even in foreign countries. He said, “When we talked about Indian styles of storytelling in ‘Mann Ki Baat’, his fame also reached far and wide.”

PM Modi paid tribute to the late singer Lata Mangeshkar.

“Friends, it is very natural for me to remember Lata Mangeshkar ji, Lata didi on this occasion. Because on the day this competition started, Lata didi tweeted and urged the countrymen to definitely join this practice. “

He said, “On Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary ‘Ekta Diwas’, we talked about three competitions in ‘Mann Ki Baat’. These competitions were related to ‘songs’ – patriotic songs, ‘lullabies’ and ‘rangoli’.”

He informed that more than five lakh people from more than 700 districts participated in these competitions.

The PM said that Perini Natyam, a dance dedicated to Lord Shiva, was very popular during the period of the Kakatiya dynasty and this dynasty has its roots in present-day Telangana.

“Dinesh Gowala, who hails from Assam’s Kamrup district, has won the second prize in this competition. The lullaby he has written has the imprint of the popular craft of local artisans making pottery and metal utensils,” he said.
