Manish Sisodia’s Wife Seema Meets Jailed Husband After 103 Days, Says ‘Politics Is A Dirty Game’

Seema Sisodia recounted how the police were stationed outside their bedroom and constantly watched and listened to every word of their conversation. Delhi Excise Policy Case

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26 for his alleged role in the Excise Policy scam and has been in custody since then. The High Court had on May 30 denied him bail in the CBI case. He was arrested on March 9 in a case registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and is currently in judicial custody.

‘Stay away from politics’

Recalling the early warnings from well-wishers advising her to stay away from politics, Seema Sisodia stressed on how her husband (AAP supremo) Arvind Kejriwal and other like-minded individuals were determined to join forces with her. Be firm in your decision.

“While these people were in the process of forming the party, we received several warnings from well-wishers advising them to stay away from politics. He warned us that journalism and activism are good things to do, but getting embroiled in the world of politics will only lead to trouble. The Delhi High Court had last week allowed the jailed AAP leader to meet his ailing wife at her residence. The court had also made it clear that Sisodia would not interact with the media or any other person except his family members and also not use his phone or internet.

Hope Sisodia gets bail soon: Kejriwal

Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got emotional remembering his former deputy while inaugurating a new branch of BR Ambedkar School of Specialized Excellence in Bawana.

Kejriwal said, “I am remembering Manish Sisodia today. Manish started it with the aim of providing quality education to all. They made false allegations against him and put him in jail unjustly.” He said that Sisodia will get bail very soon.
