MANGALURU: Four members of the same family were found dead on Wednesday at their house in Morgan Gate area.
A 30-year-old man is accused of killing his wife and two children before he committed suicide.
Nagesh, who worked as a driver, was found hanging from the ceiling of his house.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Nagesh’s wife Vijayalakshmi (26), who was working as a security guard, daughter Sapna (8) and son Samarth (4) were poisoned to death.
The family was a resident of Sunag village in Bilgi taluk of Bagalkot district and had taken the house on rent 15 days back.
“Vijayalakshmi had recently gone missing, following which Nagesh lodged a missing complaint with Mangaluru South police,” police said.
Police said the case was closed after he returned home a few days later.
DCP Hariram Shankar and Municipal Commissioner N Shashi Kumar accompanied a team of officials to the spot.
