According to United Muppetiers, the club wants “fresh eyes on everything and want to look at things on an entirely clean slate” following the managerial transition.
After the sacking of Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United have now terminated the contracts of the other people who were part of his coaching team.
When the Dutchman was shown the exit door, club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy took over the charge as a caretaker manager. The club legend remained at the helm for four matches and guided Manchester United to register three wins.
With Ruben Amorim set to assume a permanent role, the Premier League club has released Van Nistelrooy and the other members of his team– Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel.
The decision is claimed to have been taken following certain discussions with Amorim. The former Sporting CP boss reportedly wants familiar faces in his staff which perhaps led Manchester United to end their tie with Van Nistelrooy.

When Ten Hag was sacked several players complained of favouritism. It allegedly remained a major issue during his tenure. With Amorim taking over the charge, Manchester United want “no pre-formed relationships” in the coaching unit.

Manchester United released a statement where they announced the departure of Van Nistelrooy and his fellow coaches. The Netherlands legend shifted his base to England earlier this summer to join the Ten Hag-led coaching unit.
“Manchester United can confirm that Ruud van Nistelrooy has left the club. Ruud rejoined in the summer and has taken charge of the team for the past four matches as interim head coach. Ruud is, and always will be, a Manchester United legend,” read the official statement.
“We are grateful for his contribution and how he has approached his role throughout his time with the club. He will always be very welcome at Old Trafford. Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel have also departed and we wish them all well for the future,” the club added.
Having started off the season on a disappointing note, Manchester United currently remain in the 13th spot in the Premier League standings. They have secured four wins and as many draws in 11 games. Under Van Nistelrooy, United thrashed Leicester City in the last league fixture to notch a 3-0 victory at home.
