Manali: 7 Indian industry leaders cycle across the Himalayas to deliver a message on climate change. India News – Times of India

Manali: Seven India Inc. The leaders cycled over the entire 500 km Himalaya and met with local heroes as well as community leaders in an effort to draw attention to the issue of climate change.
Leaders from various private and government organizations – gathered in Shimla and started the historic ride on 5th September. About 40 more cyclists were on the expedition, including children under the age of 13 and adults over the age of 50.
Suresh Kishnani, Chief Commissioner CGST, North Zone, who flagged off ‘CtrlS India’s Leaders Ride 2021’, said, “It is heartening to see leaders across India showing a keen interest in endurance cycling and climate change. Whatever support we give them, We are happy.”
The campaign ended, following the route Shimla – Narkanda – Sarahan – Akpa – Nako – Tabo – Kaza – Langja – Batal Manali on 13 September.
In Manali, cyclists were honored for their exploits after facing more than 9 days of rough terrain and harsh weather.
This is the first of many such cycling campaigns in the Indian subcontinent to support the cause of climate change.
