What Happened?

The situation unfolded when a man who claimed to be an authorized event ticket seller failed to provide the discounted tickets he had promised. As a result, the affected young people decided to report the incident to the Mumbai police.

The story began when a 20-year-old from Kandivali got information from a friend. This friend informed him that someone named Vishal Shah, who claimed to be an authorized seller for Falguni Pathak’s event in Borivali (West), was advertising tickets at a reduced price of Rs 3,300, which was significantly lower than the official price of Rs 4,500, as stated in the police complaint.

Motivated by this seemingly great opportunity, the 20-year-old, who runs a painting business, decided to buy tickets along with two of his friends. News of this attractive offer quickly spread, leading 153 more people in their network to express their interest in getting these tickets. Consequently, the 20-year-old and his friends collected the necessary funds from others. On Thursday, they informed Shah that they were ready to purchase a total of 156 tickets.
