The deputy said they found the man at around 5:45 p.m. under a Toyota Prius, one of several cars parked outside. Another man’s home on West Unionville Indian Trail Road. Detectives at the scene say he was attempting to cut the converter when the car fell off the jack from which it was lifted. “UCSO hopes to uncover the dangers associated with the distribution of this information. Will accompany the theft of motor vehicle parts and serve to discourage anyone actively involved in this type of criminal activity,” said a statement by the Sheriff’s Office. It was one of several cars parked outside another man’s home on West Unionville Indian Trail Road.
Detectives present at the scene say that he was trying to cut the converter when the car fell from the jack on which the car was attached.
